Last updated March 19, 2026~12 min read

Introduction

Colliqe ("we," "us," or "our") builds software that helps remote teams feel present together. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By using Colliqe websites or services, you agree to this policy and our Terms of Service.

Summary

We collect account and workspace data to run the product, improve reliability and safety, and communicate with you. We do not sell your personal information. You can access, export, or delete much of your data from in-product settings where available, or by contacting us.

Information we collect

Account & profile. Name, email, password hash (we never store plaintext passwords), avatar, timezone, and preferences you set in the product.

Workspace & collaboration data. Content you create in Colliqe—such as messages, presence signals, room activity metadata, files you upload, and configuration of spaces—so we can display and sync them for your team.

Technical & usage data. IP address, device type, browser, approximate location derived from IP, log events, performance diagnostics, and product analytics (e.g., feature usage, crashes) to secure and improve the service.

Communications. Emails or in-app messages you send to support, plus metadata needed to respond.

Third-party sign-in. If you connect Google or another provider, we receive basic profile details allowed by that provider and your authorization.

How we use your data

  • Provide, operate, and maintain Colliqe features you request.
  • Authenticate users, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our policies.
  • Diagnose outages, optimize performance, and develop new product capabilities.
  • Send transactional notices (security alerts, billing, legal updates) and optional product education— you can opt out of non-essential email where applicable.
  • Comply with law and respond to lawful requests from authorities.

Sharing & disclosure

Service providers. We use vetted subprocessors (e.g., hosting, email delivery, analytics, customer support tooling) under contracts that limit use to providing services to us.

Your organization. If you use Colliqe through a company account, administrators may access workspace activity according to your organization's policies.

Legal & safety. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith it is necessary to comply with law, protect users, or enforce our agreements.

Business transfers. In a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, personal data may transfer as part of the business, subject to this policy or equivalent protections.

We do not sell personal data

Colliqe does not sell your personal information as "sale" is defined under U.S. state privacy laws.

Data retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including legal, accounting, and reporting requirements. Workspace content is retained until you or your admin deletes it, or until the workspace is closed—subject to backup and disaster-recovery cycles. Aggregated or de-identified data may be retained longer.

Your rights & choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
  • Export data in a portable format where technically feasible.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

To exercise these rights, contact [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling requests.

Security

We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal data— including encryption in transit, access controls, monitoring, and employee training. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; if we become aware of a breach that affects you, we will notify you as required by law.

International transfers

Colliqe may process data in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms for transfers from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland.

Children

Colliqe is not directed to children under 16 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Cookies & similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, security, and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may affect how Colliqe works.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice as appropriate (e.g., email or in-product banner).
